The bridge is paused

No transfers move between Ferminux and BNB Smart Chain right now, in either direction. The bridge's validators have not signed since 11 September 2026, and nothing is released without their signatures.

Do not send FMX or wFMX to the bridge contracts: not from a wallet, not from an explorer's write tab, not from a script.

The contracts are not paused on-chain and still accept a deposit, but nothing releases it without validator signatures. It would stay locked until the bridge runs again, and there is no process for reversing a bridge transfer sent in error.

What paused means

The bridge is lock-and-mint. FMX locked in the bridge contract on Ferminux is minted as wFMX on BNB Smart Chain, and wFMX is burned to come back. A transfer is released when 2 of its 3 registered validators sign it, after a wait for confirmations and a signed checkpoint. All three validator keys sit on machines run by one operator, so when the bridge runs you are trusting that operator.

  • Ferminux to BNB Smart Chain: FMX sent to the bridge is not minted as wFMX.
  • BNB Smart Chain to Ferminux: wFMX burned at the bridge is not released as FMX on chain 3961. wFMX cannot be turned into FMX until the bridge attests transfers again.
  • The bridge app is offline. This page replaces it, and it has no transfer form on purpose.

Why it stopped: the last checkpoint the validators recorded in the bridge's CheckpointRegistry on BNB Smart Chain, for Ferminux block 232,337, is dated 2026-09-11 08:54:45 UTC. Their status report gives the reason as an unreadable checkpoint. The last transfer recorded by the Ferminux bridge contract was in block 22,271, on 21 August 2026.

What exists today

wFMX on BNB Smart Chain (0x73e64635E2a7b393F2aa3924dcf91fE3cFF51BD0) is the bridge's FMX on that chain. Every wFMX should be matched by FMX locked on Ferminux. Both figures are read live below.

The plan: bridge v2

A proof-based bridge is planned. It replaces the validators' signatures with proofs: a light client of Ferminux's signer set and a verifier of transfer receipts on BNB Smart Chain. The first part is built and tested against real chain data and is not deployed. Moving to it would go through the bridge's 48-hour timelock.

There is no date. Until transfers are signed again, treat the bridge as closed. The line at the top of this page is read live and will change when the bridge's state does.
